The department of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology is determined to produce a new breed of LEADERS in the arena of Pharmaceutical industry with a vast expertise in making hundreds of students realize their goals through Pharmacy specialized courses and/or Pharmacy oriented interactive workshops & seminars, Entrepreneurship Development Workshops, Business Case-studies, Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Programmes, different trainings and Management Development Programmes which are suitably customized for taking care of personal development sessions for each and every student.

INFRASTRUCTURE / LAB

The department of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology is well equipped with state-of-the art laboratories such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab, Pharmacology Lab, Pharmaceutics Lab, Pharmacognosy Lab, Biotechnology Lab, APHE, Machine Rooms, Central Instrumentation Facility. Medicinal plants garden and Herbal Museum's availability in the campus, helps the students in recognition and identification of crude drugs of natural origin in the subject of pharmacognosy.

Career Opportunities

Pharmaceutical industry is one of the fastest growing Industries in the world which offers numerous career opportunities for B.Pharm and D.Pharm candidates to be absorbed in Multi National Companies (MNCs) both from Indian origin and abroad. After successful completion of the program students are placed in production, sales, export or import of their drug molecules or formulation products. Some of the stalwarts in this sector are Dr.Reddy's Laboratories, Ranbaxy, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Glaxo, Biocon, MSD, Wockhardt, Torrent Pharmaceutical Ltd. etc. The wide variety of job-opportunities offered by the pharmaceutical industries in India are production, sales and marketing, quality control, quality assurance, ware housing and regulatory affairs.

Industrial Training

Organizing internship/Industrial training programme for Pharmacy students is vital part of our Industry driven curriculum which provides adequate industrial knowledge and make our students, "Ready to be deployed professionals". The internship/Industrial training is offered in the leading Pharmaceutical companies where the dedicated manufacturing facilities and Research & development wings exist. The department also arranges internship training program in the field of sales and marketing for the students who are interested to make a successful career in the marketing and sales division.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The department of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology has organized several Seminars/Worksop programs in association with ICMR (Delhi), MPCST(Bhopal), APTI (M.P.), DST-NIMAT,DRI (Chitrakoot) etc. Various health awareness camps are organized by the Pharmacy Department like blood group, blood pressure, haemoglobin, dental and Eye check-up etc for students, staff members and the local community under Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
