AGRICULTURE

The farm mechanization and new technology has direct impact on the production and value addition in agricultural produce. The proper technical know-how helps in proper operation and management of equipments by saving time, labour and energy. The agricultural graduates can help the framers to incorporate the modern scientific agricultural practices.

STRENGTH

University has well experienced teachers with NET and GATE qualified who indulge in the farmers skills development program i.e. Diploma in agriculture extension services for input dealers, (Govt. of India), Kaushal Viikash Yojana etc. AKS University has well equipped laboratories for various streams i.e. Farm Power & Farm Machinery, Food Processing, Soil and Water Conservation, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Genetics & Plant Proceding, Agronomy, Horticulture etc.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Agriculture Industry requires professionals who are not only well qualified but also possess good workplace skills.A training program allows to strengthen the skills that each employee needs to improve. Hence university provides six months Industrial training to the students in top institutions and industries, in order to acquire the same and for Agriculture students 12 month RAWE & AIA.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Agriculture engineering is a sophisticated field that offers bright future prospects and opportunity in any country around the world. Agricultural engineer can be employed in government as well as private sector to promote the crop production. The trained manpower can be deployed as Field Extension Officer, Agriculture Development Officer, Scientist (Agriculture Research Services), Subject Matter Specialist and so many National/International fertilizer, seed, pestisides companies at various posts.

PLACEMENT STATUS

Pass out students have been placed in various industries such as JAIN IRRIGATION, NETAFIM, TAFE, ADANI WAREHOUSE, PATANJALI HERBAL FOOD and other Agriculture based companies etc. Having qualified the GATE, JRF and state university's examination, Students are pursuing M.Tech in IIT Kharagpur and state universities respectively.

Research & Development

A Mediterranean Crop Research Centre has been initiated at AKS University, SATNA, Madhya Pradesh, in collaboration with Agrolainez.Various MoUs have been signed with various national as well as International industries for students training, placement and faculty exchange program.

Agriculture

India is the third largest producer of agricultural out put in the world. Nearly two-third of Indias population still derives their livelihoods from agricultural sector directly and indirectly. Thus agriculture development is always a priority in the development policy in India.
The faculty of Agriculture Science and Technology (FAST) is established with the objective to conduct educational research and extension activities for enhancing productivity optimization of profit and sustainability of agricultural production system and improving rural livelihood across the country.
The faculty has an active student association and research association cell, through which, the students and faculty members organize various scientific/spiritual/ extension activities. The association provides a common platform to execute their talents and innovations to the peer group of University as well as other Institutes. The faculty has well disciplined committed and dedicated team of students with great potency to learn and serve humanity with compassion. They are skilled in organizing various scientific, spiritual and social events like Agritech Madhya Pradesh, Workshop on Kharif Crops. They represent our Faculty to other Institutes in scientific sessions like MPCOST, BIODIVERSITY BOARD etc. Our students take an active participation in research, placement activities, library and sports.

B.Sc. - AG (Hons) : 12th(PCM / PCB / Agriculture Stream) with minimum 60 %
